Background

Early Life, Education & Academic Journey

Born and raised in Nepal, I developed a fascination for how technology can transform lives. I graduated from LaGuardia Community College with honors and a GPA of 3.89, before transferring to York College (CUNY), where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Business Administration. I was awarded the NSF Scholarship and achieved multiple academic accolades for excellence and innovation.

TIQC Internship

During my internship at TIQC, I worked as a Data Intern and Software Engineering Intern. My tasks included auditing webpages for performance, enhancing front-end efficiency, and collaborating on backend logic improvements. The experience sharpened my problem-solving, teamwork, and analytical thinking.

IT Support at York College Library

As an IT Support Technician & Library Mentor, I assisted students and faculty with hardware and software troubleshooting, managed Excel-based inventory tracking, and ensured efficient tech support operations across library systems. This role strengthened my leadership, patience, and technical versatility.

CIRE Project & IEEE Publication

As the Lead Author of the Smart Traffic Light Control system research, I received a $6,000 CUNY Grant and presented the project at IEEE SUSTECE (California) and ERN STEM (Atlanta). The project was published in IEEE Proceedings (2024).

Takeo Data Engineering Bootcamp

I completed a 7-month intensive Data Engineering program where I trained on Python, SQL, AWS, Azure, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, and Airflow. This experience refined my cloud data architecture and pipeline development expertise.

Future Aspirations

I aim to contribute to the competitive tech industry by applying data-driven innovation that benefits real people. I plan to continue my academic journey through a Master’s and eventually a Ph.D., focusing on impactful data systems and smart automation.

Personal Interests

Beyond academics, I enjoy soccer, chess, and exploring new technologies. I love mentoring peers, analyzing data trends, and staying informed about global innovation. My hobbies reflect my curiosity, creativity, and persistence.
